The Hebron Story is a full-length documentary which tells the stories of families in Hebron (located in the West Bank of Israel). The film also includes the story of Sister Paulette Schroeder of the Christian Peacemaker Team. The documentary follows the rise of the settlements in Hebron and how they came to have such a major role in the halting and destruction of the peace process in the Mideast. Hebron came under Israeli rule after the West Bank was occupied by Israel in the Six-Day War. On the eastern perimeters of the city the Israeli Government established Qiryat Arba – the most militant Jewish Settlement in the West Bank, which currently has about 7000 inhabitants. |
